Good place to order flowers online?

Hi all,

I need to deliver some sympathy flowers to a friend but they live 150 miles away and I cant get there myself for two weeks so I want to send some flowers for now.

I have heard some horror stories about dead flowers or bouquets that are tiny compared to that shown on the website, could anyone recommend any companies that aren't ridiculously expensive and also have a good track record of delivering good flowers?

I don't mind spending money for this situation but it just annoys me that I could get a huge bouquet in say asda or Tesco for the price of the smallest one at interflora. I have checked the local florists who all seem to be affiliated to interflora and offer the same range and prices sadly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ok thanks, I'll have a look

M&s as the person above said or Next,I use them a lot and always good value.

have used these guys many times when my Mother was still alive for birthdays etc - always on time and nice quality - and 15% of price goes to charity

Don't use inter flora!
I've faced the same thing in the past. What I did was ring a local florist near where the person lives and ask do they accept payment by card, most do, and get them to deliver them, I find by using local florists , you get fresher flowers and far more for your money.

I have ordered from Debenhams Flowers and they were really nice - also £5 off/free delivery in the vouchers section

100% deffo not hallmark flowers lol

Agreed I always contact local ones myself

Although inter flora do use local florists to send out bouquets ordered online I think?

Google for a flower shop local to your friend, a nice independent one and see if you can order over the phone and pay with credit/debit card. I always find local ones do some massive bouquets for a good price and are always nice and fresh with no middle man to pay.

EDIT: Just read a few posts up and it seems I have just echoed what damo has already said.

Thank you all for your help, in the end I decided to go with a local florist.
I looked at M&S etc and they had good reviews but also had a few bad ones, at least I know that they wont be bashed about in the post with a local florist and probably will get more value for money.

Thank you all again, I wish I could award you all with the best answer!!

ive used prestige flowers befor i have 2 discount codes that should still work as i never used them i will pm ya them let me know if you use them please as i wont offer them to anyone else thanks
