good spec laptop for uni - max £450

    Hi guys,
Going off to uni soon and need a high spec laptop to go with it but within a budget. I thought you guys would give the best advice.
**** Sorry for asking for a gaming laptop guys..I don't game but assumed that better performing laptops would be recommended but I was wrong. Sorry about that but thanks for all the responses anyway.***

High spec and budget don't mix. Gaming on a good spec laptop is a bit lame at the best of times.

asus u305 its a good ultrabook but not for gaming

    Portable
    Gaming
    Cheap

    Pick one

    Too low budget.
U need at least £650 for a used Defiance II with i7 and GTX970m.

what games do you or will you want to play?

best you could do is get a lenevo with an nvidia 860m on eBay, used or refurbished, they sometimes go under £500

    y50-70 is the model.

What you need a laptop for. U won't be using it in lectures. Get a desktop

ux305 is the one to get, light, fast does the lot.

At least 50 of my peers have a laptop out during every lecture (25% of us approx). Not always taking notes, mind.
The vast majority have an Apple logo too.
