Good trade-in available on Canon iP4500 printers - new iP4600 for just £33.35!!

This might help anyone who has an iP4500 printer which is no longer serviceable, out of warranty but still less than two years old.

Speaking to a Canon Service Centre, I learned that as a goodwill gesture, Canon allows them to take your old printer plus £33.35 in exchange for a brand new iP4600.

I know it works - because I did it today! I paid just £33.35, handed in my old 4500 and walked out with a brand new 4600.

I don't know whether you can trade in any other Canon printer. Might be worth a call to your nearest Service Centre (details of them are here: www.canon.uk).

    Hope this helps someone.

I meant to add that Canon are also doing a Cashback offer on the 4600.

You have to buy it by (I think) the 29 July.

Send them a photocopy of your receipt / invoice and they will send you a cheque for £20.

It applies to internet purchases as well as from retailers.

but the ip4500 is a fine printer, why would anyone do this?
apart from those that need the newest of everything for some reason.

Read my first sentence and note the words "which is no longer serviceable"!!

Printers - including the undoubtedly excellent 4500 - do break down and therefore need replacing. Obvious, really. :whistling:
