i would say go for O2, put £10 on and get 300 texts, more free texts if you put more money on. this credit lasts for 1 month and you still have the £10, i dont use my mobile much and normally £10 lasta me a couple of months as when the free texts over, i just use the credit left.

not sure about T-Mobile, but on orange I top up and get free texts.

£10 - 300 free texts
£20 - 600 free texts
£30 - 1000 free texts

300 is more than enough for me, so £10 lasts me about 2months. i just text for one month, and use up my credit the next

Yes, same here, £10 top up lasts about 2 months, or longer if o2 give me 2 lots of free texts, which does sometimes happen yaay lol

How much do you normally spend per month?

If that's the case, I would recommend getting a contract but if you don't like commitment, then get a 30 day rolling contract, as you'll get a lot more mins on top of the texts.

I'd recommend o2's plan, which offers 600 any time, any network mins, 1200 texts and a choice of:

unlimited calls to o2
unlimited text
unlimited internet
unlimited weekend calls
unlimited landline calls
Extra 200 any time mins

And this is on a 30 day contract, so you can cancel at any time at under £20 per month, that would be a lot better than PAYG.

will they allow a 16 year old to have this contract?

I'm not sure, ask them but if not, ask your parents to sort you out and I think you can put a restriction on the contract that if you use up your allocation, then they won't allow any further calls etc.

Hope that helps.

That answers that then...do you think your parents would go for it then mate?

It would be a shame to spend £20 a month on PAYG if you're making that many calls, as there's better deals on a 1 month rolling contract.

It's a 30 day contract and then continues as long as you want...I think you have to just give them 30 days notice in total (so you can hand in your notice on day 1) but unlike normal contracts (such as mine) you don't have to wait 18 months to hand in your 30 day notice.

What's that one offer?

TBH, I don't like three, I think they have the worst reception and customer service out there.

£10 - 150 mins and 300 texts
£15 - 350 mins and unlimited texts
£20 - 600 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet (need a half decent phone though.

what do you have atm?

If you have Virgin Media services in your home e.g. tv, internet and phone then Virgin Mobile give you more mins and texts compared to what they usually offer on the 30 day contracts.
