Got around £500 to spend on a diamond ring for my mum's birthday

Any good half carat diamond rings out there, I found this one:

Is it reasonable? Do you know any better? Do you like it? Is it mum material?

Thanks, I think I will, have found nothing better than this in my opinion for my price range.

It's an engagement ring for Crissakes! I stand corrected, an eternity ring is more something you give your wife not your mum.

Huh? Where does it say that?

Sorry, but even I thought rings are not the best presents for mum :?

How about earrings, watch, necklace etc?

I think it's a nice idea, it's something she'll always wear, but she'd change her earings & necklaces with different outfits. Its something different...? :? :santa:

She said she'd like a ring, but she said necklaces were fine too, I guess I could have a look at some necklaces, probably quite a bit more expensive. Will check.

It's her 41st birthday, yeah she has been absolutely fantastic, could not ask for a better mum. She deserves more, but my pocket isn't deep enough.

It's my birthday on Sunday...where's my present?!

I say go for the ring, it's stunning. Hope she likes it!

Yeah I think I will, everyone I've shown it to adores it. I'll have a last chat with my mum whether she would like a necklace instead. Thank you. Well goodnight everyone, thank's again, will dream about jewellery until the morning.

Why not spend less on a ring and get her a matching necklace

I'd say get a diamond necklace, a ring just doesn't seem right but thats just my opinion. I'm thinking of getting one for my mum as hers got robbed when the house was broken into and the insurance company said they wouldn't pay out, ******s.
