Hi, I recently purchased a second hand GPU and would like to test it out, the total power draw of my PC with the new GPU is 413w and my PSU is 430w. I understand its not safe for me to do any heavy gaming but can I still run some benchmark tests (eg heaven 4.0) just to make sure everything's in working order?
Thanks

Also the GPU has 1 six and one 8 pin pci-e connector whereas the PSU has one 8pin pci-e power lead.

how did you get to that 413W figure?
what's the full specs?

the GPU is actually palit jetstream 4gb gtx 770, its not on PCpartspicker but I believe they both have a TPD of 230w.

It's not the total wattage but the current of each voltage.
That graphics card will be wanting best part of 20 amps on 12v.

So its not a good idea to test it out, I should just wait till I can upgrade my PSU?

I agree with Beavis about the 12v rail. You really need to get a better PSU as your 12v could be split between two rails and that wouldn't be so good.

there was a deal from scan the other day (will probably be back on today only deals before long) for a coolermaster 550 watt semi modular for £32 I think that would be good choice
