Gran Turismo Delayed until ermm...well we are not sure....

No official announcement has been made
Sony is now apparently dismissing the number of leaked dates that are appearing; claiming to represent the official date of when the much delayed Gran Turismo 5 will finally makes its way to store shelves.

Despite sources suggesting a November 30th release for North America and a November 27th release in Europe, it does appear that at least for the moment these dates are unconfirmed as well as wrong.

Sony is sticking to its standard, “no comment” play, saying that they have not made any official announcement as to when the game might officially be launched. This is not surprising, as Sony will likely want to be 100% sure before announcing another date for GT5.

Despite a number of videos and screenshots and the trophy list making their way to the Internet, Sony’s “no comment” stance may not last much longer, and it might be an indication that we are getting closer to a release; but at least for the time being, we suggest that you don’t believe any release dates that you hear.

just when I was looking forward to all the "a manager friend told me sainsburys were doing it for a fiver" threads.....................

Not sure what this thread offfers tbh.

Unless the sources making suggestions for a European release date are Sony Computer Entertainment Europe [SCEE] then do not believe any of them.

Then again, you could choose not to believe SCEE anyway (given past experience) & just wait until the product is on UK high street shelves.

With Sonys brilliant marketing campaign, the only way we will know is when someone on here tells us Sainsbury are doing it for a fiver!

Can you imagine Nintendo not knowing a concrete release date for Super Mario Galaxy 2, or Microsoft not having one for Halo Reach....Sonys lack of muscle of Project management with exclusive software houses and marketing is absolutely shocking!

It's gone gold though, surely nothing can affect a release date now unless there's a huge download patch coming with it on release. Either that or Sony are enjoying the free press over the release date farce.

Confirmation that we don't know diddily squat when a major release is going to be released, what else does it offer?
