Hello I made my grandad a computer about 5 years ago with a a6 6400k with 8gb ram and a ssd.

GIGABYTE GA-F2A68HM-HD2 fm2plus

He is complaining its not as fast as it used to be..

Is it worth changing the cpu to a10?

Or what kinda of build should I do for him he does office work maybe some very very light games and YouTube just office stuff really.

Was thinking a ryzen 3200g? And change motherboard and ram any advice?

Fresh install and wipe his secret stash clogging it up.

Light gaming I'd say grab a cheap 2500k bundle off eBay and reuse your SSD.
At the risk of seeming rude, is there a reason his office / gaming system needs to be scraped from the bottom of the budget barrel? Depending on the work he's doing with it, it might be a whole lot more cost-effective to increase the budget to something with four figures, not just so he has the better UX a more powerful system can provide (especially in terms of gaming, however light it is), but also so he can work more quickly and efficiently with it. You can, for example, get a whole lot more work done a whole lot faster with dual displays or a large 4K panel than with the sort of lone budget panel one would typically expect alongside a bottom-level spec.
Ryzen 3200g b450 motherboard and 2x8gb 3200 ram.
