    Graphics Card Required..

I play NO games, but I've been told that having a graphics card should increase the general usability of my PC.

I'm looking for someone to verify this, and also suggest a reasonable card for the £25 mark.

    Thanks.

Im not sure on your system but if you have PCI Express then this

    ebuyer.com/pro…961

Would be a great buy + the google checkout which will leave the price at £16.99 shipped (5day free shipping)

But if you have an AGP slot you can get this

    ebuyer.com/pro…734

£14.60 with shipping with the google checkout deal.

    Verification denied.

What, if anything, is wrong with your PC? And what's the spec of it like at present?

Im guessing he hasnt got a graphics card now which is if he got one it would add usability to his computer because he could actually play some games as well as hook it upto his TV and make a media center.

I'm not even sure if I have a graphics card at present. It was bought new as an eMachines two years ago under £300. I've got a stick of 256mb and a stick of 512mb RAM in at the moment, with the 256mb to make way for a 1GB later this week. My system just seems so sluggish at the moment. Processor is only Celeron 2.53ghz, and of my 40gb hard drive, just over 13gb is left.

A new graphics card will not make any difference on that machine as Windows XP, which I assume you're using, makes very little use of a graphics card.

More RAM and/or a better processor would provide a much bigger performance boost also it's probably worth de-fragmenting your harddrive and having a good check for viruses and spyware or even going for a full format and reinstall if you know how.

I have got a 6600 if you want it

All fully tested and working - £25 (inc p&p)
