I was wondering what has been the greatest wild goose chase on these forums where a legitimate deal was perhaps a one off but caused a stampede of people to chase the unicorn offer?
Not a wild goose chase, but did cause a stampede. Resulted in police being called to numerous Tesco's around Scotland, and made national headlines for a few days

Who remembers the stampede and violence for Blaupunk TVs in ASDA on Black Fridays, few years ago, due to which they stopped the whole promotion thingy ?
