GTA Online Festive Surprise, Are you ready?

The GTA Online Festive Surprise Update is a limited-time free content expansion for GTA 5. Announced today and stretching through January 5, 2015, the DLC adds new features and revisions to Grand Theft Auto Online.

Periodic snowfall in Los Santos opens up opportunities for rolling and hurling snowballs. Several new Vehicles and weapons are available, as well as special holiday gifts and a significant revision to the Property system. Several new game play tweaks were also implemented.

New Weapons may be purchased during the promotion and kept in perpetuity:

    A Homing Missile Launcher
    Proximity Mines
The Firework Launcher will also be available again from Christmas Eve until January 5, and will be free on December 24 and 25, as well as December 31 and January 1.

New Vehicles are also available, and include new liveries:

    Hot Rod Christmas Ratloader
    Slam Van
Crate Drops during this event will include a number of rare and vintage GTA items.

Clothing options include ugly sweaters, pajamas, new hats, masks, and more.

On Christmas Day, Rockstar hints that special Christmas gifts will be available in GTA Online player apartments.

Players may now purchase and hold a third Property in GTA Online.
