Gym Floor

Hi,

I’m just after some advice please -

I’m having a room build in my garage for a gym

The room is 4x4m

I struggling to find some reasonable flooring which is practical but won’t cost the earth.

Just wondering if anyone has had experience doing this before or any good ideas?

I would appreciate your help

Thanks

do not look for gym mats/flooring that price is elevated by at least 50% (just like you hire a venue and then mention it's for a wedding and all of the sudden its more expensive for no reason at all)

look up horse mats or stable mats, ebay facebook marketplace or gumtree is your best friend
I converted the garage (workshop rather than gym!)

Latex screed to level the floor (start with youtube videos), provide a good surface to adhere to and provide a basic insulation. Then large foam rubber floor tiles.(search 'garage floor tiles' on amazon)

Once you've put the latex screed down, you can use anything as you have a good surface but most of all, you will want good insulation properties
We have carpet tiles, heavy duty grade.
My garage is a gym and this is what I used
Another vote for horse stall mats. 4' x 6' is between £30 and £40 depending upon thickness and I think Mole Country Stores do buy 5 and get 6th free
This might be of some use
