    Hair transplant

Hi. I'm thinking of getting hair transplant treatment. I'm bold (receding hair but not completely bold) I know i will need to arrange a consultation to get an accurate idea but this is just a general question...What advice you have. Anything to consider? watch out for? recommendations?
I'll probably go for FUE. Price for money?
    preferably in UK

    Thank you

Have you tried minoxidil? Transplants have varying degrees of success

    +1

    Bald is best

I would shave your whole head. I quite like men who has a shaven head (_;)

I find bald sexy. Pitbull (rapper) well hot.

I have been for numerous consultations regarding hair transplant. I can't remember the two types but one is what Rooney had where they pluck the hair and replant. the other is where they cut a piece of skin from the back of.the head then extract the hair then replant.
I went to a reputable company who said yes no problem we will arrange a operation your suitable etc basically there salesmen not doctors. I then went to a doctor in a beauty place who said I did not have enough hair per square inch to do the procedure and said had I taken finesteride 5mg. I took this my hair is now alot thicker and still growing. I wish I knew about the stuff when I was 24 and started thinning as it would have halted the process more. if you do want to take it give me a pm I'll find the website I buy it from. its amazing don't get me wrong I'm not like cousin it but it's alot better

Where's the problem we're all going there. Transplant isn't the way

    just wear a cap

dunna bother and man up nowt wrong with been bold i mean bald.

stick a rabbit on your head, from a distance, it will look like Hair !

Could give propecia a whirl, its a tablet that can be prescribed privately by online/chemist. Maybe worth a punt before looking into other stuff , about £1 per tablet though and have to have 1 per day

Look @pics of Conte when he played for Juve & now. Took 3 attempts though.

    NHS:-

    FINASTERIDE

    Indications
benign prostatic hyperplasia; male-pattern baldness in men (section 13.9)

    Male breast cancer
Cases of male breast cancer have been reported. Patients or their carers should be told to promptly report to their doctor any changes in breast tissue such as lumps, pain, or nipple discharge
    Side-effects
see notes above; also testicular pain, hypersensitivity reactions (including lip and face swelling, pruritus and rash); male breast cancer also reported (see Cautions above)

Judging by how Wayne rooneys hair went back to bald after two years I'm not sure I'd bother.

Ive had a transplant done in turkey, everything went smooth and im happy with the results. Including flights+hotel+treatment it came to about £1400. you will save alot of money getting it done abroad.

I tried minoxidil, it does NOT make new hair grow, it keeps what you have to a certain extent. Finasteride has too many side affects so did not try that.

When I was reading OP post 'Allo 'Allo! kept on popping in my head.

Just keep it short. No comb overs, in time you'll stop worrying about it.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll go and visit my GP and see what he suggests. From what I've gathered so far, I'll leave transplant as a last resort.

thanks for that I was made aware by the doctor who I went too. it's like everything else can cause problems but small %. when I get to a certain age I'll stop.
