    Halal Food Hotel?

    Hi HUKD members,

We're hoping you can help, this is a first post for us so please bear with us.

We are a family of 2 adults & 2 children, 1 years of age and 2 years old

We are looking to book a holiday for the end of April preferably with sun but most importantly at a hotel which serves halal meat (big meat eaters including the kids)

We've tried & tested Morocco, wanting to stay away from Turkey/Egypt due to the issues there and are now struggling with where to go!?

Dubai is too expensive and now leaves us with very little choice

We have followed HUKD for years and would appreciate any help or advice if any of you have travelled on a nice family holiday with a bit of sun catering to the food requirements (think we would get bored of vegetarian options after a couple of days)

Any & all help is appreciated & thank you so much in advance

How long are you wanting to get away for?
If it's two weeks then Malaysia and Singapore are amazing destinations.

I hear Saudi is good for sun and halal food too :-p.

I'm sure parts of southern Spain are very halalified.

I recently went to Barcelona and had halal food everyday...

    Saudi, Dubai.

Do you specifically need the hotel meals? If you go to Nice at the end of April, there's loads to do, the weather is lovely, prices are very, very low, and there is Halal food everywhere.

In fact, I would even consider AirBnB and you will probably be able to find a place 2 minutes from the beach, with 3-5 Halal places within a 2 minute walk, for a VERY low price at the end of April.

If you do want something that is just relaxing in the sun and nothing else, Jordan (Dead Sea/Petra) is a good bet.

Sounds like a wind up to me.Followed HUKD for years and haven't realised … Sounds like a wind up to me.Followed HUKD for years and haven't realised that anything Halal goes ice cold?Really?

    ignorance still exists

Iraq? Iran? Afghanistan? Syria? All do halal I believe.

Why not turkey... it's a beautiful place and most of the tensions have been miles away in Istanbul.. the resorts are safe. You have marmaris Bodrum Antalya just to name a few brilliant excursions to enjoy with the kids halal food and brilliant hospitality from the Turkish people.

There's always the option of being vegetarian or eating fish!

India and Sri Lanka have amazing veggie and fish food, so I wouldn't rule either of those out.

I wouldn't discount Egypt or Turkey. Look at some of the forum postings on tripadvisor from people who have gone there recently. The british media tends to over exaggerate all the claims. If it was really unsafe the foreign office would say do not travel or advise against all but essential travel.

If anything you are more likely to find it a better experience with it being quieter.

anywhere in Egypt except Sharm. go to Hurghada. love Egypt. **** happens everywhere

Thank you all so much for your feedback & help! (Sorry don't know how to individually reply to comments)!

Turkey is an option and if it was just me & husband we wouldn't think twice but with two young children too it makes us feel uncomfortable however you all have noted some really great places we will be booking this weekend! Also another issue with Turkey is the dates we want to go eg. 25th April to first week of may most parts of hotels are closed!?

Another place you might want to consider is Oman.. heard it's beautiful

Thank you so much you are completely correct in many reviewers confirming fantastic holidays in places like Turkey!
