Hi I'm having to re arrange my my finances and have been told to open a new bank acc and take all my money out of my Lloyd acc Inc my overdraft, this of course would leave nothing in my lloyds acc, I have just set up a new acc with Halifax and am now worried lloyds will be able to get access to my money as I have read they will be taking over Halifax ,will I need to open up another acc again ???

lol @ protesting against Lloyds by running to Halifax  hahahahaHAHAHAHA

fail my friend....this is a fail!

Sounds like someone just wants the £5 per month offer

We have a Halifax and Lloyds in our town so the Halifax branch will close one day it doesn't make sense to have them both. We also use to have a TSB till Lloyds and TSB merged.

or you could always just pay your debt!

do we even know if this person is in a dmp?
or have you just decided to assume that?

Yes they can, LLoyds have clauses in their credit conditions, that if you … Yes they can, LLoyds have clauses in their credit conditions, that if you default on loans or overdraft repayments from them, they can take the money from any other account you may hold with them, as they now own Halifax, this would be the case. Once it's all merged his account will not be safe, so move it op.

It is one of the major reasons banks are so keen on offsetting mortgages. Have your savings with us too and you will offset the interest on the mortgage (and if you miss a payment we can swipe it out of your other account :D).
