    Halifax Cash Card Abroad (Debit)

    Should I or shouldn't I?

I'm only going to be taking out around 200-250 with two transactions.
I'm thinking it will probably cost me around £10.
I travel in about two weeks and I don't really want to take all cash.

    Thanks

I think Halifax are the best for abroad - Look at moneysavingexpert, there's a big guide on there!

I thought Halifax and Lloyds and Santander were among the worst (or santander was one fo the best.. not sure)

I think Nationwide charges less than both.

    Why not get travellers cheques?

    take your own advice then.

halifax cards are the worst abroad.

    Halifax Debit Card
Spending penalty: £1.50. Exchange load: 2.75%. Cash Withdrawal fee: £1.50

so £200 withdrawal is gonna cost at least £10

nationwide is fee free and interbank rates!

I said I THINK. I'm not a walking talking credit card fee expert.
You've pointed the OP in the direction I said in the first place.

I would never go near that shambles of an organisation.

NW are the best financial organisation I have ever dealt with by far. Every bank will have one customer that they messed up.
