Has anyone heard of Hampshire Trust bank?

I am helping auntie with her savings. They accept postal applications for savings accounts, its a 1 year fixed rate bond she is interested in with 1.45% interest.

She does not want online savings account as does not feel confident going online and is worried about scams, etc.

The better rates are mainly offered for opening/managing accounts on line eg Atom bank, etc

Its just I have never heard of Hampshire Trust Bank?

The other savings she interested in is Kent Reliance.....got details of moneysavubg expert website so feel comfortable with them.

Sound like they are commercial customer bank but have issued savings bonds for personal customers in recent years so new to the domestic market, which explains lack of review.

they are probably ok for the regulated protection of funds below the protected limit. Dont expect much customer service in the domestic department as they are commercial. Looks like they have a management buyout of some sort in 2014 and backed by a venture capitalist company, indicating they were in financial trouble at that time,so you may have to rely on the protected guarantee from the regulators.
Just buy her premium bonds, when Brexit hits at least she'll have what she put in :-)
They are FCA registered and regulated, so should be sound. The rates aren't that great, so beware locking into one of their bonds. Interest rates are likely to rise shortly and better deals might be on the horizon.
