Hiya, does anyone know much about these?

To cut a long story short, my husbands ex has given us grief for two years now & I had enough so reported her to the police.

They called last night to say they had just been round and given her a harassment order.

Not managing to find out much from google so cheers if you can help!

so they called you and said "we have given a harassment order and you went, ok thanks bye."

Didnt think to ask, "ok whats the conditions of that then?"

My advice call up the police and ask

TBH I know she is not aloud to contact us both now & has to leave us alone. I was just so happy that something had been done I didn't ask too many questions.

Been in a similar boat with my partners ex. It stipulates what she can and can't do. Dont think they hold much weight but it worked for me!

Thats good to know, fingers crossed

I have a bit of knowledge on this.

It sounds like the police have issued a harrasment warning to you partners ex. It works like a caution and she would have been warned not to continue her behaviour that has called you harrasment, distress etc. In order to prosecute for harrasment there has to be a clear course of conduct of harrasment with at least two occasions.

Because the warning has been served if she continues to give you grief you can report that to police and they will be able to pursue the matter as they will be able to evidence that she was given a warning but has still continued to harrass you.

Hope that helps

Basically it means that she is not to contact you or get a third party to contact you by any means (in person, phone, text, etc) if she does then she is breaching the order and can be convicted. If she does then it is better for you that you have proof ie another person witnessing that she has contacted you in person, or keep the text, missed calls etc on the phone. The police will need this proof in order to prosecute.

Ok thanks everyone who replied, I should have done this two years ago x

I have been issued with an harrassment order which was unfounded and now im being harrassed by the person who has issued it on me, anyone know where i stand ?

Maybe your husband should have grown a backbone and stood up to her rather than expect you to sort it.
