Has Amazon stopped weekend deliveries for Prime members?

Joined Prime before Christmas and ordered lots of stuff for the next day.A lot of this was on weekends(even Sundays) but now I've ordered stuff today and with prime options it's not going to be delivered until Monday. Are weekend deliveries around Christmas only

It depends where you live and which warehouse the items are coming from.

I still get stuff on a weekend, you click the right option?

Occasionally they list items as in stock but requiring 1-2 extra days for delivery. I suspect that they're actually shipped over from warehouses in France or Germany.

I've just looked again and the first few "top deal" items are delivered no earlier than Monday.

I've also searched various items such as hard drives, led light bulbs etc and they ALL state Monday with prime.Sometimes Tuesday

Check your addresses. If they've identified your delivery address as a business then I think they do not delivery to those addresses on sundays at least. I noticed this by switching my default delivery address and getting different delivery dates.

I get deliveries next day including weekends

Just looked and it offering me delivery tomorrow (Sat)

I get deliveries on Saturday but not sure about Sunday

Could it be because I pay monthly for my prime.Btw I've not altered any settings in my account since i started my prime

I doubt it. Prime is prime as far as im aware, no matter how you pay for it.

Definitely check your addresses though. Click Your Account, Manage Addresses (on the right), on your chosen address click Change. In there for me there are tick boxes for "Deliver on Saturday" and "Delivery on Sunday". For one of my addreses the sunday was unticked.

They definitely normally deliver on Sunday, just the same as any other day.

As IndianaBlues says, occasionally something will come from another country, but even then tbh you still normally get it within 2 or 3 days.

As you are fairly new to Prime, make sure you also get full use out of the video and music available too. :-)

I have had something in my basket all day, telling me delivery Monday. Just gone back to my basket now, still showing Monday, click checkout, still showing Monday, change address (from my work address to my home address) boom...shows Saturday. Check out and receive email confirming delivery tomorrow. Must be the business address thing

I get deliveries on the weekend.
For each order that hasn't turned up when you've ordered as guaranteed next day, get on Amazon chat and they will normally give you a month free membership for the failed deliveries.

Yep, every time for me also

This may be of use to you if you can no longer select weekend delivery. I had this a month or so ago and it appears Amazon had just switched off the Saturday and Sunday options..... Just turned back on.

In exactly the same. Weekend deliveries are already checked. Yet Monday seems to be the earliest I get deliveries. Definitely no Sunday deliveries. I rang customer service-she was clueless. Just gave me an extra months prime.
If it helps I used to get Sunday deliveries. Also for example Saturday i ordered an item delivery date was Monday. So went on the prime now app and had it delivered within 4hours!!!

Hi Everyone,
There is something not right with Amazon Prime for the past few months. This is what happened with me.
I used to get my stuff through Prime because they " deliver" items next day and to be fair i had a few issues and when that happens they either offer you a free month or a replacement item, good on their part.
However for the past 3-2 months, i have noticed that they don't deliver items on weekends anymore, it always say " Mondays" now. I've been a prime member for about 2 years and haven't changed my address and i buy the same items pretty much every time " Whey Protein, games and electronics". i also pay monthly as same as everyone else.
I live in Leeds, UK and never had an issue with Prime delivering any item due to my location and 90% of times, i get my stuff on weekends with no issue.
So, i have been monitoring it to see if it says offer Monday delivery on specific items which i can understand but for the past 2-3 months, its been saying Monday on pretty much every item.
What has changed?? i will never know cuz when i call CS, each time the reason differs!
So what is going on here!? are they getting lazy or stressed cuz everyone is getting things on weekends?
Anyhow today, i called them for the last time and the agent was very nice and respectful but he was full of ****, not his fault as their something going on but they don't want to let customers know, after talking with him and he said there was no way to get your items by tomorrow " weekend", i just said to him " for future reference please let customers know what is happening with Prime, don't mislead clients in thinking its a next day delivery when clearly aint, and i would like to cancel my membership"
He tried to keep me signed to it, he put me on hold so many times and he would mute me at times but if they couldn't get me the items by next day then there was no point in paying money for something im not getting, right ?
So, he cancelled my prime, however i checked a few hours later and it wasn't cancelled!?!?!?
I got a bit angry but i went online and cancelled it my own and plus imma get a refund.
so just to be aware people, something has changed and if they don't fix it, they might lose a lot of clients who signed up for just the next day delivery.

Side Note: I have heard that before you cancel, they try to take the full membership price, so make sure you delete your card details from the website, so they don't do that and also make sure that you get an email confirming that you cancelled and check on the website itself that you cancelled the prime option.

Hi all, I have had this problem and have cracked it (I think).

You need to delete all of your addresses then re-add your primary address, obviously after doing this double check the Saturday and Sunday boxes are ticked for delivery. It is a "glitch" and one that reared it's head for me after renewal.

You should now be all sorted, it's Friday so go and have a try
