To be fair the Labour Manifesto made me chuckle... After 12 years in power I'd have expected them to have gotten round to most of it by now...

    Cool, let boredom begin!

This has got to be the best ever manifesto for any general election - at least what I have seen in the past 16 years.

Have a read ]HERE to get the basics.

In essence they've pinched my manifesto from ]HERE which I think is great!!

What they are saying is NO MORE BIG BOYS telling us what to do. A society FOR our society BY our society! I love it!

Get rid of the chaff at the top of the NHS and replace them with Nurses and Doctors who know what they are doing and know what it is like to do a 13 hour day, then get home and do data input on patients because you've not had time to do it during the day WHILST your bosses who do 9-5 get a 6.9% pay increase and your lucky if you get 3% (£500 a year).

You think the school your kids are going to sucks? make your own! Get involved with the community and make it your own - be proud of something again!

This is the best thing I have seen in a long time and I urge EVERYONE to vote conservative this time around.

    EXACTLY!
"We feel we need to cut government spending by £12bn".
Here's an idea, rather than increase OUR national insurance to get it, why didn't you save £1bn a year in Whitehall expense?

Labour had their chance - now it's time for the real deal!

Interesting. I'm a few years younger and I don't know anyone of a similar age to myself who would consider voting Conservative after the havoc and mess they made last time round!

A couple have even said "I'd rather have those idiots in Labour stay than have the Tories again!"

My MP agrees with the fox hunting and is not sure about equal rights for gay people HOWEVER although that's a million miles away from what I think, he's kind of old and I expect him to be replaced (maybe by me) in a few years.

The most important thing here is allowing us to take back control of this country.

The Digital Economy Bill just shows how out of touvh all of main political parties are... who uses Torrents in 2010?

I can't believe Labour have the cheek to publish a Manifesto! Why not just do what you promise when you are in power rather than say what you will do if you are lucky enough to get back in!!

It's not the same people though is it? Like when NEW labour came in - they were more right wing than Thatcher! I'm guessing Cameron would use the slogan NEW Conservatives if it hadn't been used before.

And in respect of last time, I guess it depends on what side of the fence you sit. Poll tax -ridiculous, we will agree, however I did agree with Thatchers incentive to get SMEs into action and allowing them the opportunity to thrive off hard work. Hell, that's how the folks earned their money!

How exactly are you planning on doing that? Send everybody packing? The conservative has played the Immigration card for a long time and this seem to have clouded the vision of so many voters, Conservatives have been trusted before has not failed to make a mess of the whole country....Fine let them go on isolate britain and see where its gonna end...Maybe we wouldnt have to work as hard as we currently do and maybe life will improve...maybe......and remember the Rich will also cry during the reign of the Conservative party...

I didn't mention immigration. I'm talking about a select few who have control of the majority of our national infrastructure, and therefore hold the strings for the running of this country!
We need had working, skilled staff NOT money grabbing 'admin'.

As hated as that was, at least it was clear! Was it really as bad as all the back door taxes 'New Labour' have introduced? NI, Road tax, Council Tax, Duty on fuel, alcohol, etc. etc. etc. all have gone through the roof under Gordan Brown, first and chancellor now as prime minister...

Fair point. I think it was the fact that it hit people when they were already down - and most thought enough was enough. In essence, the back door taxes from Labour have been MUCH worse.

He has a point, in one statement they promise to take away politically motivated targets then go on to set a load. As for competition/privatisation that is not always the great thing they would have you believe, just look at the rising costs of utilities....Some sectors are natural monopolies, 'competition' can actually be a bad thing in that instance and runs the risk of collusion, price fixing and profiteering.
