Groups

    Haven / Centre Parks etc

    Hi All

Finally booked a trip away to Haven - Manager called earlier, and was unable to take the booking due to the booking being all of one sex, i.e. all females. Apparently, no one will accept group of just one sex. Is this correct?

Any way to get aroud this :s

    Thanks

tell them you are lesbians, and then inform the daily mail

total rubbish, its sexual descrimination, you want to go on holiday, thats it

OOOOO I would be happy to be your token fella.

Alot of the holiday parks have this rule. They say it's because it's a family park and they don't want hen/stag parties, which is what they seem to think all same sex groups are.Daft really.Butlins do take same sex groups

    Lol @ Token fella.

I'm sure its discrimination, but then surely a business reserves the right re admission and what not? so.... dunno.

    Not happy!!

happened to a friend of mine, but she'd booked, paid and actually TURNED UP only to be turned away, they were there for a hen party though but should of been made aware of it

yep-not saying I agree with this but their standpoint is that they are family parks and dont want possible rowdy elements,ie groups of teenagers/stag dos etc.

You will have to put two of you down as men. They never check. My mum and dad have booked holidays with Haven in the past and me and my partner went instead when they couldn't go.

    tell them you are lesbians!

gay rights group Stonewall, said: 'In open-and-shut cases of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, the law's quite clear - it's illegal for businesses to turn away gay customers.'

this is common now for places that are not up for badly behaved stag doos as sed previous put male names down they never check but if u all arive togther they may turn u away with out a refund because u did not observe their booking conditions

Why not make multiple bookings for smaller numbers ... surely they would accept same sex if it was in 2s? When does it become a group - over 4 people?

Yeh put 2 of you down as men, and dont go together, just check in at seperate times.
We've been to Center Parcs in groups of 6, never heard of that rule there.
