If i have a 720p rip of something, in WMV format and use convertXtoDVD to put it onto a DVD what will i have?

Will it still be 720p? I presume something will be lost, would it be better than DVD5?

Nobody?

The resolution will be reduced to either the PAL or NTSC standard.

Resolution will be 720 x 576 in PAL or 720 x 480 in NTSC . 720p is 1366 x 768,

So no benefit to starting with a 720 rip over a DVD rip then?

nope . cos you're downsampling in any case. the best you'll get with dvd is 576.

Depends on the DVD rip as some will be 480p NTSC rather than 576P PAL, Convertxtodvd does a really good job of converting so you may see a slight improvement with 720p.
