Hi All

I have a HDMI laptop, which is currently connecting to my HD ready LCD via VGA.

Picture is very clear.

My question is, would I get a better picture connecting via HDMI? I watch DVDs from it, would they be upscaled and look better?

If your laptop has a HDMI output then use that. The resolution should change to fit the tv screen exactly, pixel for pixel.

I have a laptop connected up to my TV via HDMI. Perfectly clear.

Cheers magic, off to look for a HDMI cable! Repped.

As long as you have a reasonable vga cable then I doubt you'd notice that much difference, it partially depends on the television you are using. HDMI is a more convenient connection and additionally it should be able to carry sound.

The VGA was from Ebay, picture was perfectly clear. I've purchased a HDMI now though.

TV is a Samsung 32 inch LCD.
