    Headphones with TV

So recently I bought some headphones for watching TV with so I don't disturb anyone else in the house.

Unfortunately, I have just discovered that my TV doesn't have a headphone socket?! I thought it was a standard feature on TVs these days....

Anyway, is there any adapter (etc) that I could use to attach to one of the other sound outputs on the tv to which I could attach the headphones?

    Thanks in advance

If you have the red and White analogue sound output sockets you can get an adapter to convert them to a 3.5mm head phone jack

couldn't provide a link could you?

Have you a DVD Player with a Headphone socket? You could connect the Stereo out from your TV into the DVD Player and put your Headphones in the DVD's Headphone Socket.

I think that might work, but i'm not sure.I used to do it with my Hi-fi and Dvd player connected to my TV many years ago.

I plug a set of headphones directly into the freeview box (using the red/white audio cables to 3.5m converter that stewby mentioned) and then mute the tv.
Thought I'd mention it as an alternative option incase your freeview box has a headphone socket.

I ordered this but I can't get it to work. I am presuming you put it in the back of the television. Gawd I am blonde today!
