Found 9th Jan 2008
Looking to travel over Asia in about a month, who is the best to go with for health insurance, so if I get ill I don't have to pay out?

Thanks

Try insure and go they are quite good i used them for cuba and egypt and the price was good

I always use Direct Travel Insurance.
There prices are always good and their level of cover and customer service is excellent. You can do it online or on the phone.

go through moneysupermarket.com - they compare lots of policies and even have special discounts if you go through there site.

Who do you bank with?

We are covered through our platinum account with Lloyds TSB.

Might be worth looking at....

A lot of banks do offer "free" insurance with certain account types, with these policies you have to check that there is adequate cover as some of them have been known to have less cover on the important sections like medical cover.

I have used direct line in the past and got a good policy for a very reasonable price

AIG/DirectTravel seem decent, around £65 for what I want. Does the Government have a health insurance you can extend worldwide?

Not that I am aware of - sorry.

Again I would say I am always pleased with Direct. They often get awards from The Telegraph for their level of service and their monetary level of cover is always very high.

Hope you have a good trip.
