I think I got the answer to this a while ago but it seems to have changed from 60 degrees?

Tried looking in forum but couldn;t find anything to answer that.
What temperature does a deal need to be to be "made hot"?

Yeah there is stuff on the front page just gone hot at 62 degrees, so I guess 60

Hmm, I;ve seen deals enter the frontpage at 60 degrees.
So it seems like it should be 60.

however I have a deal which is at 63 but hasnlt been "made hot" as such.
Can a mod explain?

Another good faq for a FAQ thread?

It's 60, but based on votes. The rating you see displayed is slightly different and includes other factors, such as the number of views. It shouldn't vary too much though, and I'd imagine that by 63-65 a deal should be on the front page.

Interesting...
how does the number of views affect it? The more the better or is it number of hot votes divided by the number of views?
