My daughters has stopped working. The red light still comes on but thats it.
Ive tried phoning a few local shops but no-one seems to fix them.
Anyone know if any high street gaming stores will fix it and is it worth the cost? Am i as well buying a new one?
Any info appreciated

When the hinge broke on my sons DS I had to send it back to Nintendo to be repaired and it was about £30 ish pounds to repair but this was a couple of years ago.The price may have changed and/or be different for the problem you've got though.
I did try game stores thinking that they might fix the ds it but all they could suggest was sending it back to Nintendo.
It was worth having it repaired then but they are a lot cheaper to buy now. If you 'phone Nintendo UK customer service they would probably advise you on how much it would cost.
Have you checked its not your charger that's damaged though as a red light usually indicates it's not charging/charged.?
Other than that perhaps the DS battery needs replacing.I've never done it myself but there is some info at:
