Have you tried Parcel2Go? Parcel measurements in your OP would also help people in finding more accurate quotes. I've used their collect and delivery service before with no problems.

    ]Parcel2Go

You also get 10% off with the promotion code AUCTRE455945237 found on HUKD vouchers section.

Give ]parcel2go.com a go - they are usually very cheap!

Hi thanks that one looks the best by far up to now so i will wait for exact dimensions and weight then sort it out. I am assuming you know they are ok and reliable and it is easy to arrange?

Thanks to both of you too, i will look into both and it has got me far further than i had alone this morning AND with a discount code that has got to be good

    Rep left to you all

It depends on the parcel size.
You can usually get 20kgs for the standard parcel tariff.. But if its a large parcel the weight would be worked out on cubic ( which could mean your 20kgs is classed as 50kgs ).
This could be why you are getting expensive quotes.

well i got a rough quote for the site above and that says it is unavailable due to parcel being too long or too many cubic feet so i will have to wait for exact dimensions. The people selling dont want the hassle of posting so i have to arrange the courier

I used postmehappy for a packagage of similar dimensions, although it was heavier at 30kg. Happened to be a memory foam mattress, didn't expect it to be that heavy, but it was just over 6ft in length, with plenty of protective wrapping.

Using the above link includes a discount, so the package you quoted should only cost £8.50 for 48hr parcelforce. An extra quid for 24hr delivery if you need it quick.

I've used them several times for collection of parcels from sellers address and delivery to my home.

They might not be the cheapest, although the service I have had has been great. They will even send you the labels should you wish to send items and drop them off at your local PO, handy if you want to ship something quickly and don't want to wait on Parcelforce turning up the next day for collection.
