HELP !!! How to stop cats pooing in my garden !?!?

HELP !!!

Need advice from anyone out there for something that stops cats pooing in my garden (and is proven to work). I have nothing against cats providing whilst they aren't using my garden as their personal litter tray !!!

Any ideas / advice ?

Cheers

i didnt find anything that worked... the gel stuff lost it's scent too quickly and you can see it...... don't know if those electric low level noise things work better. Good luck!

Get a supersoaker!!!!

Lock and load it,ready to spray the felines as they start to squat.......after a few soakings they will probably find somewhere else to poo.

Failing that, you could try looking on plant websites, there are plants available that are cat repellers, some folk also fill plastic bottles with water to deter them though I am not convinced that this does work.....you can also get a spray from pet stores called 'Get Off' which is a citrus smelling spray, cats don't like the smell of citrus....probably explains why some people litter their beds with orange peel also.

Good luck......cats do have minds of their own though!:whistling:

The stuff I use is called "Lion's Roar". Needs to be replaced twice a week + everytime it rains until the cats have learned the new territory rules.

1L bottles of pop half full of water around beds worked for me. They dont like sun glares and start going elsewhere. Then remove once area is clear.

We had the same problem when a neighbour got two cats.

Get some Jeys fluid & soak used tea bags in it. Place the soaked tea bags in the spots where the cat normally poos. The cats don't like the smell or something & go somewhere else.
It really works, the cats are still around but they don't poo in our garden anymore.

I agree , I've tried all the consumer products on the market and they just dont work .
I've also tried a shotgun , air pistol , but the .22 air rifle is a huge success and I think is the most humane way . Then bagged and dumped at the local tip .

It's all lies ................I dont have a cat problem and would never shoot anything .I like animals although I dont own any .

There are UK websites that sell them - just can't be bothered finding one lol!

As i say in every thread about this, the only thing i found that works is the item in post one.

I've tried the gel stuff, orange peel, water bottles, pepper etc etc and nothing worked until i bought the cat scarer from Amazon, depending on the size of your garden you may need more than one, at each end for example.

It takes two of those square batteries and they last about 6 months.

My mum used to put soot on the garden .................but where do you get soot nowadays .
Another method I've seen is the cat cutout [ a cat shaped wooden cutout with 2 cats eyes [ from the road] ]
This apparantly does work .

I believe those things you plug in and they send out a low frequency sound are decent at keeping them out. Failing that I guess you could pretend to be a bigger cat and chase them off when they enter your garden, lol.

Jesus! Thats expensive. Fine if the at owners agreed to pay... and I guess you could give them the option of this method or permanent method without cost.

get yourself a nice little pussy cat - your garden will then be their territory, other cats will not use your garden for a toilet as your's will chase them off, and your own cat wont either, cats hardly ever go in their own garden, as you are aware!!!

I just scare the **** out of any cats coming near my garden. Clap, run towards them, throw stuff at them, whatever. New cats tend to learn quite quickly, and the older ones don't come by anymore.

The woman upstairs from me has a cat and the effing thing uses my landing to pee on!! But enough is enough as it has now decided to poo there too!!!! :x We have other cat owners whose pets are no bother at all but this woman's cat is not going to survive much longer...the suspect list is growing daily! :whistling:

find out where they live go into their garden and do a poo, mark your territory and they will back off

they hate egg sgells and black pepper too

You have had some helpful & some not so helpful replies ( including my dog suggestion  ) but this seems to be a useful website :

My mum tried this stuff in her garden (possibly called "Silent Roar"?) - it's basically lion poo pellets.
Apparently it's had no effects at all on the local cats who still regularly dump in her garden, although her gazelle problem has gone away.

I actually lol'd. REP!

Do you have gravel in the garden?

My mate complained that's cats were using his garden as a toilet, understandable seeing as he had gravelled the entire back garden so to a cat it looked like a giant litter tray.

Try this site!

Would be against the law and cause a lot of pain also its indiscriminate!

Some of the animals that the scarecrow sprinkler deters are Deer, Cats, Raccoons, Dogs, Heron, Rabbits, Squirrels, Skunks, Groundhogs, Opossums, Canadian Geese, Cranes, Pigeons and more.
Excellent! just what I needed to keep these darned pests way!

Wear pants when you have your cat on your lap.

easier to clean up than that rocket launcher

I have had a major problem with cats toileting in the recently added pea gravel in my garden, i bought one of those sonic repellers and it had NO effect at all.

Over the last couple of days i have been washing the gravel down with a weak 'washing-up liquid' solution and i must admit, i have not found any new presents
I'm hoping this may have worked and will continue to wash it down every other day and see what happens

Kill them all. They serve no purpose and are a pest.

Pests in gardens and pests online. All those cat websites and ridiculous captions, they make me vomit pure acid.
