Help ,need a cottage,cheap ,50th with insurance to cancel , disabled

Hi guys ,

I'm sorry this is complex ,,I want to book a cottage type place away for my partner's 50th ,I live in manchester.it can't be a long drive ,say 50 miles max needs to be able to cancel and rebook if we can't go ,so some sort of insurance ,,My partner is disabled and some days can walk or not,so need to be able to cancel at last minute

I'd really love any inputs to sites for holidays etc. ,I'm also looking at a budget for £500.

Any help with the hit dealers peeps

I think it's impossible to find ,and I understand that ,but thought I'd out it to you lot

Should be possible to find but the issue is cancellation without penalty is what really brings your options down to almost zero.

Try Airbnb, holidaycottages.co.uk etc (edited)

Hi,
1 - you've got the lake district and the peak district within 50 miles of you, also some decent coastline in North Wales and upto Blackpool so plenty of options but what are you looking for? Coast or countryside?
2 - the last minute cancellation is going to be a big problem, however on booking.com you can pay slightly more to have free cancellation I think upto 48 hours before you go
3 how long is the £500 budget for? A weekend? A longer weekend?
Mon-Fri? 7 days?
4 - Google maps and look at where you want to be and decide a rough area for the trip

As said above…have a look on booking.com…I’ve been using them for many years now with free cancellation and never had any issues if needed to cancel!
