no budget if its good enough dont mind paying whatever.

costa rica? cuba? Thomsons tailor-made did us a really good package.

I personally dont like cruises due to lack of freedom.

Why don't you subtly discuss it with the future Mrs?

You must have some idea of where she would like to go.

In all seriousness though, got to be the Maldives surely?

Depends where you fancy?

bahamas are nice

Maldives! Make sure you tell the holiday company that it's for your honeymoon, as they normally throw in a few extras.

Does she like beach holidays? I get bored after day 2 lol. I went to New York for mine - loved every second of it so much I've been back 3 times. Loads to do and see, you can make it as relaxed or as full on as you choose. Plenty nice bars and restaurants for relaxing with a Cosmo or 10 for her as well, especially if she watches Sex and the City. You can even do a cruise to there from the UK.

A cruise, everytime. A fortnight round the med, for extra super poshness and romance, get a cabin with a balcony. Congrats btw!

the obvious choice would be anywhere with a bedroom making the most out of it cos once the ring is on the finger, well you will find out soon.

had my honeymoon on lohifushi island in the maldives in february 2006, up to 35 degrees, sunshine everyday and a beautiful island......all inclusive and the beer on tap was san miguel (not the best but nice surprise!).staff were lovely people who couldn`t do enough for you!

as you're a footie fan, why not go to Small Heath and watch a game of premiership football instead of that Championship rubbish you'll be watching next year... just an idea like.

Definitely The Maldives its paradise perfect for a Honeymoon x

Me and my wife went to Florida for a week and then Atlantis resort Bahamas. Recommend it, but the Bahamas is craaaazy expensive. $3 for a pack of rizzlas (20p odd here)

Must have taken you all day to come up with this.

Well done you.

maldives, like heaven on earth

How about doncaster? Ipswich? Scunthorpe? Barnsley?

You could kill two birds with one stone and get an away fixture thrown in at the same time ....

This is where we had our honeymoon last year, august time. Absolutely stunning place.

Reported. Don't be so crude!X)

Bali would be my choice.

I might be going against the grain here but I find the total escapism holidays boring.
Every day the same, hit the beach, pool etc. I always go either various destinations or somewhere I can explore.
OP, where do you WANT to go? Where does your bride to be WANT to go?

I like a bit of a mix, for my honeymoon I went to Honk Kong first, then Singapore, then beach holiday in Thailand. It was amazing, couldn't have asked for a better choice of destinations.

My niece went back to work yesterday after her honeymoon.... She got married on the 13 November and flew off to Zanzibar the next day. After travelling around Central Africa and Indian Ocean islands (including a trek up to see Gorillas in the wild for a couple of days), she eventually met up with my Sister (on holiday in South Africa for 7 weeks right now) and arrived back home on Saturday just gone.

I think its one holiday I cant wait to see the photos for. If you wanna see the itinerary Nikki, drop me your email address and I'll forward the full monty. It's pretty damned impressive I can tell ya!

She's one well travelled young lady who makes me and my travels look like I'm a Sunday driver!

I was there last March / April... On my second visit. Its not as unspoilt as it once was - but the place is just so friendly its untrue. I know there is a member here who goes every year.

Sounds amazing Guv.
Good on your niece doing something out of the norm. There's so much of the world to see, why stick to the same old same old.
Long Haul holidays are on the back burner now until the kids are a bit older. We are going to stick to explore the UK and Europe for now
