I have that one... We got it when our son was about 2 and he wasn't able to understand it.. Now he's 3 we will try again, so if your child is 6 he should be well able to know how it works, although at that age he should be able to know the time from a regular digital clock too which might be better.

please be careful getting a digital clock if your son hasnt learnt yet to tell the time, it will be very confusing for him

I got my son a huge clock for his wall and put stickers on 7 and 12 and told him that was 7 oclock, time to get up. I also told him that if he wakes before the little hand matches 7 then he has to stay in his room, but if the little hand went past 7, he could get up.

Worked a treat and within 6 months he was telling the time no problem.

Just wire the bedroom door handle up to the mains and put it on a timer switch.

After the first few shocks the message will sink in

this is the one we got, got it when my son wasn't yet 2, and was getting up between 3 and 4 in the morning, we tried everything else first, and these clocks aren't cheap, but believe me worth every penny when you are that tired. Really works for us, and we even move the time back at weekends so get extra 30 mins in bed

only problem i found with the go glow ones, is that they make a loud click sound when change from one face to the ohter, which woke our little one, so no chance of a lie in

I thought that too and bought it for my little girl for christmas, but after looking at it closely, it went straight back to the shop because it's not actually a clock at all as it only has 1 hand on it !! It's simply a visual representation letting the child know when it's ok to get up. If oyu want one that will teach the time too, I'd avoid this one Also, read the reviews on the Argos website - a lot of unhappy people on there.

A whole page of people before you helping the op, then you enter on page 2 and you're unpleasant. No need for this.
