HELP NEEDED REGARDS LOVE2SHOP VOUCHERS - FAKE???

Found 15th Nov 2010
I have just bought these vouchers from ebay, although not paid yet. The user has 0 feedback and is new. But i intend to pay through Paypal.

Looking at the picture they have uploaded, do these look real or fake? As i have heard several stories about fake love2shop vouchers and obviously do not want to be caught out

EDIT: For some reason 'ebay' has been starred out in the link above. Replace the stars with the work ebay.
Thanks!

If in doubt do buy them...I got stung on a Blackberry once and it wasn't a fake it got barred as someone nicked it..Don't buy no one is forcing you to
Loads going around here at the moment.
I have a lot to buy xmas and ive just bought with a good saving :0)

I do have an open wanted thread here for some
If its too good a deal is probably is fake
I was spending Love2Shop vouchers earlier this year and they were checking they were not fake,by matching some serial numbers up or something from some notes they had in a book behind till. Obviously mine were not fake, but yeh they do circulate round and eBay would be place someone would try shift them.

£500 worth for £400 ,so you saved 20% which is good but not if they fake. I really can't see how someone can have £400 worth, and not be able to spend them, they these taken in loads shops, even Iceland, they soon be spent in there for a family of 4 within a month or so.

I guess if you go to a shop and they fake, they be taken off you, maybe you should complain to Paypal now, although you got no proof they fake at moment,I'm not sure what they do over fake vouchers anyway.

£400 is a lot cash to lose.
Is it true they should say 'The High Street Gift Voucher' underneath the Love2Shop bit at the TOP of the vouchers on real ones?? It doesnt quite look like that on the picture. Has anyone checked out the picture in the link yet?

I been to the eBay page,I've just read your op again and seen you not paid yet. I personally wouldn't buy anything for £400 off someone with no feedback, and I certainly wouldn't touch £400 worth of vouchers,I know fake ones been cirulating about.

I got £15 worth here,I can't really see the pic clearer enough to compare to mine, mine are def genuine.

Don't bother paying,not worth it.
Ok,I've looked at mine here and they got under the Love to Shop bit, The high street gift voucher.
Well i did pay but it said payment processing through paypal, and they are un-registered (dont really know what that means tbh)

So i cancelled payment
Mine have a square hologram on the front,I don't know if those on eBay are a older design or what, but as I've said I wouldn't chance £400.

they can't neg you for it,sellers can't give neg feedback, you just get a unpaid strike,so unless you mess about not paying anyone else then your eBay account is fine to keep buying/selling with.
Yeah, i dont think ill bother. I did message the user and ask them to send me an 'actual' photo, along with their username to my email address so i can see better.

I dont think ill risk it. I quickly bought them as it seemed a good saving, although not 'too' good to be true imo. Then on closer inspection somehting just doesnt look right to me.

Thanks for all your help
she has sold another lot of £500 and has £500 still for sale and some topman...and i think her pics are stock pics?
why not just ask for the serial numbers/photo`s of the serial numbers, call love2shop and verify there authenticity...

i personaly would be wary if the user has no feebcak, and there 1`st item for sale is £400 in vouchers!

but you never know unless you do some homework to protect yourself!

Tel: 0845 717 1111

Email: info@highstreetvouchers.com

i would ask for 5 vouchers at random and do the checks!
Spending £400 on an item on ebay from a seller with zero feedback........

Take a step back and think about it......

High Risk -
I've got a £5 one and its blue not purple

Yes mine says that.
Well let me tell you a little more...
It was another username on ebay - also new and nil feedback selling £500 worth. I messaged about doing a buy it now for £400, of which she agreed. She couldnt add a buy it now because it had bids on. SHe said it wouldnt let her redo it with a buy it now, so she'll try listing it on a ...'friends' account - 10emmanelson, funny enough new yesterday!

Her first listing said shes just lost her job so needs to sell these for cash now. But the new listing, link in OP. says in the ebay listing 'going travelling for a year abroad so cant use them!!

I asked yesterday for an photo to be sent to my email - then the communication stopped! Just messaged again asking for that photo. Lol. Im not going to take the risk with this one - all starting to look sussed now.
