    Help Needed with DialaPhone

HI, I am looking to buy a PAYG phone from Dial-a-Phone and wanted to know if these phones are locked or unlocked. I have tried contacting them several times but no response whatsoever..

The one I want is on the 3 network.

And presumably you mean you want to buy a phone that's advertised as being on Three, then use a different SIM with it? If so, that's prob for the best as I've not heard anything good about Three's coverage, despite their deals being attractive.
It seems that some dialaphone handsets are unlocked and others aren't, depending on network. O2 and Vodafone likely to be unlocked, Orange locked. Three piggyback on Orange.

Yes, i'd never use the 3 network. I have ordered for now on 3, coz the same phone on Vodafone and O2 was £20 more and I did not see any reason to pay the premium. the phone arrives tomorrow and I hope its unlocked. Thanks for the help though.

Never had a 3 phone, but both the vodafone and Orange phones I have had in the past from Dial a phone have been locked.

PAYG phones tend to be locked. Contract phones tend not to be locked

mainly because they need you to spend money on the SIM to recover the susidy to the handset - with a contract you are going to pay up regardless so less need to lock the phones.
