Help! Phone keeps saying network busy or error in connection..

Any ideas what i can do to make the damn thing work? rep for help pls.

its a nokia 6700 on o2

have you tried taking out the batt and wiping sim card??

Maybe it is the network, not your phone. Just wait.
Or if you have got another network sim & your phone's unlocked, try that.

Phoned OH from landline and his works fine

Yay its working now, however just one more thing lol, i have a pemanent message symbol on my phone and whn you click on messages it says 1 unread message when there isn't one.
Any ideas?

*06# at the start of each text if my memory serves me correctley,the other symblos means these a MMS comming through

Settings then Operator selection also try taking the battery out when the phone is swicthed ON and also the sim
