it says you can schedule a collection, you could try ringing them, just to make sure x

You do know most sellers will tell you where to go as this is a common as hell scam?

EDIT: Hmm personally I wouldnt allow you to courier

i dont get you, the seller hasnt told her where to go, thats her point, the seller wont send it, they want it collected, does seem strange tho i must admit.

parcel2go.com i bought a door panel the other week and had them collect it via citylink for £5.80

Interparcel.co.uk or p4d.co.uk

Reasonable prices and reliable unlike the cheaper ones.

The last time this happened, I bought a similar large machine, the seller, was kind enough to drop to collect plus.
This ladies refusing to do so.
UPS, quoted £30+ for standard delivery.

MyHermes are actually really good. They specialise in ebay items.

Will the seller box the item?

MyHermes

You'll get 30kg for less than a £10 if you try some of the other suggestions.

Because when something goes wrong the seller will have no proof of delivery and you can easily get your money back as they will have no proof its been deilvered.

when an item is collection only, your gonna get a bargain! only if the buyer cooperates afterwards with you. im sure she can cancel the transaction though as it was for collection.
if you have to arrange the courier yourself, you need one that doesnt need a "sticker/label" on the box else you would need to send it to the seller beforehand... i sold an item as collection only, the buyer emailed me afterwards saying sh would organise a couier but couldnt as she couldnt print off a label, so i did it my end.
good luck with it/parcela2b is good to go with, and cheap

parcelmonkey.co.uk

Generally under £10 when I have sent a item

this

And also the seller is going to have to pack it up and lable it which i assume they didnt want to do in the first place, also you pay for the courier, but what happens if its shoddy packaged or they dont answer to the courier when they call.

Just be careful using these cheap companies, if they call and there is nobody in they will hit you with a charge. Can you guarantee the seller will stay in for a courier.

surely the courier gives the selelr a pickup receipt which ebay can check delivery against

Maybe it depends who it goes buy, but most wont give you anything because you arnt the one dealing/paying them, all the paperwork will be with the buyer. Its recommended that sellers dont allow buyers to arrange pic up.

Even now the seller can still cancel if they decide they dont want to send it, and i wonder did you ask before the auction ended if it was fine to arrange something, or did you win them ask?

Hence why i was perplexed when i first posted

ha ha ive had a prospective buyer before trying to hassle me to send a collection only item, i refused because it was a heavy and bulky item, he offered to arrange his own courier and i refused and explained why, and his response was "oh i wont do that you have my word"- means nothing in reality.

Least he asked first though rather than buying and assuming i would magically send it like most sellers do. So even though the seller said yes, they might think now they cant be arsed packing it up as thats going to cost them in materials and that. If you didnt ask before buying i would just cancel really, if you did then you can try and argue, but either way they can refuse to sell as it was marked as collection only, and you cant do nought.
