help re ebay dispute global shipping program

hi can anyone help. sold some ben 10 toys through ebay. the buyer was from australia and paid through paypal. he paid for shipping through the global postage program. i sent to the uk shipping centre and got a reference/ tracking number. the buyer states he didnt recieve the item. and claimed. I gave the details to the dispute with the ref / tracking number but the refund has been given out of my paypal. how do i get my refund. the global program terms say you are not responsible when item received at shipping centre? thanks for any help

PayPal will automatically find in the favour of the seller but won't actually refund the money straight away but will reserve it from your account . You will have to contact eBay and go through their dispute system and if as you say you have a tracking number and eBay received it then they should find in your favour and PayPal will refund the money to your account

As above really, once it arrives at the UK destination its eBays duty to get it to the buyer
.

Yep as said above, let us know how you get on.

If the buyer has opened a case in paypal to do a paypal dispute then you need to upload your tracking number in paypal.

If your buyer has opened a case in eBay then you have to upload your tracking there in eBay.

Questions already answered above
Once it reaches the uk point where you send it via global shipping your responsibility ends
They check and re-pack the item and send it on , not your problem

i cannoy click on the link it was posted end of august

I can still see tracking for items sold 8th August

you get notification that it has arrived at global shipping hub and from that point they deal with non delivery, not as described or faulty etc still comes back to you. they will have record of receiving it and this shows on your eBay account. if they never got it at shipping hub problem is still yours and then you revert to your postal insurance to cover you and recoup costs.

just turn off global shipping program it saves the hassle.

Have you rang eBay and spoken to them
Everyone was automatically enrolled in the global shipping programming , I've since opted out
I sold a expensive printer with preferred collection but postage at £15 so it was insured to the value
Guy from Austria bought it and paid straight away , i spoke to eBay as had concerns
Low feedback and new user from another country , alarm bells rang
I sent it to the global shipping centre as eBay told me once they had received and checked it , it's not my problem anymore
I'd seriously ring eBay again as it turned up where you sent it so it's global shipping at fault , if the buyer is refunded can you claim for the cost of the item off of eBay ?

oh you are not wrong there mate - wouldn't be bothered with that mallarkey

How does the Global Shipping Program work?
When a GSP item sells, just ship it to the Global Shipping Center using whatever method you choose. An experienced international shipping company does the rest including customs forms, international shipping, and import fees. The GSP also includes end-to-end international tracking. As a seller your responsibility ends once the item reaches the Global Shipping Center. If the item is lost or damaged during international transit, the Program has you covered. Sellers are also protected from neutral or negative feedback associated with international shipping on any GSP transaction.

Taken from that link
According to eBay , global shipping has you covered , then make a claim

To opt out of eBay's global shipping programme
Your ebay>>.account>>site preferences>>posting and packaging preferences>Offer the Global Shipping Programme

On the right hand side of the screen change yes to no and save changes

thanks for advice will ring today

To counter the horror stories , we have had 2 problems with global shipping being 1.item got to America smashed (eBay removed half the packaging lol) and 2. An item that went missing . Both of these items were covered and we lost nothing

Did you receive conformation that eBay received the item. If you did it's their problem as it's in the terms and conditions and if you didn't you need to contact the delivery company you used.
