    Help regarding Renault Laguna headlights

My dad has got an 03 reg Laguna 1.9Dci with Xeon headlights & D2R bulbs.
The bulbs are fine but the passenger side headlight (dipped beam) isn't working.
Anybody with any ideas what it could be?
My dad called renault & explained it and they say it needs a whole new headlight unit which is quite expensive.....could it be anything else?

have you tried the bulb thats not working in the passenger side in drivers side to check bulb,,also could be a fuse
cant see it being the headlight unit as renault would sell you the unit without the bulbs and holders

Any other ideas? As said it is not the bulb nor a fuse that is faulty......

the lights on these things are awful!! (sorry its a renault its all put together awfully!) could be something as simple as a loose wire, id try a few scrap yards for a unit be much cheaper . . . . .i loved my laguna the oh hated it with a passion i think he reveled when the engine blew. . . . . . .

I know my dad has come to realise this. They are lovely looking cars though. I'll get him to check all the wiring the perhaps a trip to the scrap yard is in order. Thanks

Unless anybody else has an answer? It seems strange that everything there seems to work fine when put on the other side. Knowing my dad its probably something staring straight at him

i knw this will sound silly and you have probably already dhecked - have you checked both ends of the wiring into the headlight

Probably too late but it will be the ballast.
