lots of these are fake, tons of fake ones on ebay a while back
bit suspect about a play trade seller at this price to be honest

if they are genuine, they are decent (i have a pair), warm natural sounding, probably best for voice or classical
sound laid back compared to sony's who stuff is more powerful sounding

well made, I paid 15 quid and judge them worth it

    Cheers folks!

How the hell am I going to be able to buy a genuine pair and where from?

Just buy from play direct or amazon direct..... but not through a trader, worth the extra few £££ or i saw a deal for some headphones at amazon earlier on here, not sure which ones but someone said they were best headphones sub £50

stick to a mainstream seller, amazon or play themselves, not a market seller, then you will get the real thing, but i doubt for 8 quid

    amazon.co.uk/Sen…8-1

    are from amazon themselves

it depends on your music or listening tastes, also what your player is

The Sennheiser are far more relaxed sounding than the typical 15 quid earphones (my fav for audiobooks), the Klipsch to me sound more like sony's, and fine for modern music

I get through loads of headphones, esp in the 10-15 quid range, as i usually go to sleep listening, and destroy them, but dont like the crappy sub 10 quid ones, and tend to match to the player, sony's physically are too fragile.

ipods are slightly dull sounding, so i would go for the Klipsch to bring out the mid's a bit (i always run my equaliser flat)

    consider these too:
    amazon.co.uk/Son…-18

but they are very fragile, but sound good if you select the right size silcone bit for your earholes (comes with 3 sizes) if they lack bass, it's not sealed properly. but i think are the best sounding of all for music.

the best sounding was the mk1 ipod shuffle, and sounded superb with sony's, but things change. I am using a sansa at the moment and find it very flat and uninvolved for music, and just use as my audiobook machine.
