Help studio cards ripping me off.

Hi all just wondered if anyone can help me with this problem.
I ordered a nokia mobile phone from studio cards priced at £179.99, when the parcel arrived it contained a Samsung x810 costing £119.99 , I informed studio cards and a curior picked up the phone, when I recieved my next statement studio had charged me the £179.99 for the Nokia phone. I did not pay this bill as I didn't have any phones in my possesion and thought the credit would show on my next statement.
When the following staement arrived they credited the amount of the samsung phone £119.99 back to my account and not the amount for the Nokia £179.99, not only that but they had the cheek to add on a non payment fee for non payment of the previous statement for which at the time I had none of their products.
I have made several phone calls and numerous e-mails have been sent and finally a written letter, but I am still having no joy with getting back the differenc and the charges.
Does anybody know where I stand legally so that when I make the next phone call I sound like I know what I'm on about and can hopefully get them to correct this problem.

Studio are a knightmare! I had a similar problem 2 years ago.After loads of calls i got it sorted but later i realised that after the late payment charge there was niw a blemish on my credit record for this.So be careful!

Yes thats what I'm worried about if we buy anything from these kinds of places we pay the bill off in full as soon as it arrives, so dont really want it to mess up our credit after we try to be so carefull.

My mum had problems with Studio too.

She sent off a cheque to pay off the remainder of my Grans bill. They cashed the cheque, but a few months later started sending threatening letters demanding payment and threatening legal action.

This went on for a while until my mum sent them a letter informing them that she would be taking the matter up with a solicitor if they didn't stop sending letters.

Did you pay by credit card?

Never had problems with them, only a few damaged christmas things, but replaced quickly.
To be honest, I wouldn't buy expensive things from them or other non christmas stuff as its mostly ******!!

I hate Studio Cards due to this sort of problem in the past (although not quite as bad). I just found there customer service was shocking and there was no flexibility in them whatsoever. Hope you get it sorted out though, I did get a reply to my email - eventually - as I refuse to pay their phone call fees.

No we pay all the statements cash at barclays in full

Do every thingin writing

Send everything recorded delivery, collect, printout and keep proofs of delivery.

Ask a legal guy of you can bill them for your time if the amount of effort is unreasonable..
