Help using iphone browser needed please

I backed up my messages, contacts etc and then did a restore on my iphone cod it was ful of rubbish.

I now want to drag and drop the backed up files back to the iphone but it doesnt seem to drag there, nor can i copy and paste.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thankyou in advance

it should be automatic. as long as you've backed up your device, you should not have to worry about restoring your phone.

iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    On a Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    On Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    On Windows Vista: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

this ]article might help re: backup, updating and restoring your iphone with itunes. good luck!

You can just delete single items if you didn't know. just press and hold on the screen until it shakes, then you can select single items to remove.

Sounds like you've gone to a lot of trouble.

In iTunes, if you hold down the shift key when you click Restore, this should allow you to choose a backup file.

What happened was that i had 4gb of 'others' memory, the only was to get rid was to restore, me being silly went into settings, general, reset, reset to factory settings - i then couldnt get rid of the apple logo, even though i left it overnight. This morning i have managed to get it connected to itunes, restore it, acrivate it and so far jailbreak it. I created a new iphone in itunes because if i would have done restore again it would have wasted another 4gb of memory! - Getting there slowly

Have synced my contacts from outlook but have lost my sms's and customised ringtones - no major problem i suppose

Done it - I had to drag the whole folder not just the individual files.

Thanks for all the people who tried.

    Please lock

i havent jailbroken my iphone (it's work phone) so not sure if mine would do the same as yours ... anyways, good choice – glad you're sorted.
