    help wanted re a cashback claim- proof lost

    I just wanted to know if anyone could help- i submitted a claim to e2save at the turn of the year for a stage of cashback and the b**gers say they never got it and i am now outside the period to claim so i lose everything. I sent it via Recorded delivery but the missus chucked out some papers including ther receipt last week so i have been unable to prove delivery- can anyone help?

    (They have said I need to provide them with a recorded delivery number which was received by it between 4 December 2009 and 31 January 2010 so if anyone can help please let me know. Please message me with details. I'll make sure anyone who can help will be rewarded!

    did you check on Royal Mail site at the time?
    if so go back in and you may find if you click in the box where you input the number it will be there, it is usually saved the same as most search boxes.
    If you have more than one you will have to check them one by one.
    may depend on how your cookies are kept but worth a try.

    How much do you stand to lose? Is it just one payment or all of the rest too?

    I have had a few cashback deals with e2save over the years and have found them to be very good, they've always sent me a text saying that my claim has been successful and will be paid within 60 days. Did you get a text perhaps? :thinking:

    Nope no text - it was the first of 5 stages- so i hope it hasnt invalidated all of them- clear my cookies so i have no idea of the tracking number.

    Hence why i need someones help in terms of a claim,otherewise they have me over a barrel.

    How is it a scam when the onus is on you to prove that they have received your paperwork?

    Years ago e2save were notorious for not signing for recorded stuff,therefore not paying out on claims.Haven't used them since,so don't know if they have changed their ways.

    However whilst I appreicate your comment guys, it doesn;t help me in my dilema.

    I reiterate has anyone sent in any claim to e2save or One stop phone shop in the last couple of months which can help me out and stop them from claining all of the cashback is invalid?

    Has anyone else had a claim in Dec or Jan which was succcessful and which arrived to e2save/one stop phone shopto which they can provide the royal mail tracking number for RD or SD?

    I don't think anyone would do it as e2save could have that reference down in connection to their claim, so the person giving you the number risks losing their entire claim and potentially being done for fraud.

    Whilst I appreciate your thoughts I wouldn't expect that to occur. I think you are giving e2save too much credit- to record rd details against each claim on their systems- i recall reading on another thread that if the post wasn't received by it - it was lost on their systems!

    Was just trying to give you an idea of why people might not help out in this situation. For all we know they record that info so only one person can use that postal claim, otherwise they could receive far less claims than they're actually paying out.
