Help with an Eternity Ring

Found 9th Jun 2008
My wife is due to give birth to our first baby in about 3 weeks and I'd like to get her an eternity ring. As I found when buying her other jewellery, the UK is an expensive place compared to other countries, which is probably caused by there being no diamond mines or precious metals locally.

Can any HUKD'ers recommend a good country/trustworthy site where I can get an eternity ring from? I'm not wanting to just get her something cheap, but like all HUKD'ers, I'm looking for more for my money!

I've looked at a few US sites, but I'm looking for recommendations.

Jersey is meant to be a good place for diamonds. Good luck with Baby too xx

You don't say where you live but whenever I buy jewellery I always go to the Jewellery quarter in Birmingham. Amazing place and prices, you can get anything you want, even stuff made for you and still save money.

Thats lovely.

what a lovely thought, hope you find something nice  & good luck with your new baby
I would of thought Jersey as previously said would be good for a quality reasonably priced diamond ?

I know you have said you want to get an eternity ring but your 'lady' will probably not beable to wear it due to swollen fingers for a while. I bought my 'lady' a bespoke necklace for the birth of our daughter last year, which she wore straight away, just a thought though, congratulations btw.

Nothing to do with being no diamond mines.

The price of diamonds is kept artificially high by only releasing so many each year.

The people who mine diamonds have millions of pounds worth of them stored away in vaults, but they know if they release too many they would become commonplace and the price would plummet.

So they release just enough each year to satisfy demand, but keep the price high.
