So, my missus who has recently moved in decided she wanted to get rid of some tech for quick cash, mainly being Xbox 360 consoles she had hoarded as she upgraded over the years. So we took them to CEX, now just to add this, I'm banned from buying and selling at my local store, but I'm still allowed in.

My missus has a mental health illness, meaning I have to be with her at all times in public (really bad social anxiety, this is the first time she had the courage to leave the house in a few weeks) so naturally, I went with her to make sure she was okay and also carry the bags (they were bloody heavy)

Here is where I'm stuck, we got to the counter to trade it in (was gonna go credit and sell it on here, worked out better) and no sooner did we get there, I'm guessing its a deputy manager with the worst attitude known to man, said that because I was there, they wouldn't take the items, even after explaining her condition, they wanted nothing to do with it. I'm not sure if this would be classed as discrimination as my partner wasn't able to do this on her own.

The reason I was banned was because I put in a complaint after they broke one of my consoles and they blamed it on me, however my account remains active, as I can use it in other stores, so I think its more the staff being a-holes.

Not sure what responses to expect, but some General information would be great.

Cheers.

Absolutely entitled to do business with whomever they choose.

If I was them, I probably wouldn't want to do business with you either, it takes more than just a bad transaction to be banned from a store, so I am guessing we are only getting part of the story.

To be honest, if they were so awful with your stuff before then why would you go back and use them again, there are alternatives to CEX, selling online, eBay, Amazon, Gumtree.

Got to be honest, you sound like the issue not the store.

You have the whole story, all I did was complain about the way they treated my items and told them that all I want is the cost of the repair refunding to me, which never happened.

The reason we went to CEX is for quick cash, maybe you missed that.

If they don't want to serve me, fine, I would have left, but the point is, they were my girlfriend's items, not mine, I wouldn't shop there again if someone paid me.
