The mute button on my iphone 3g has snapped off from the looks of it. I got the phone from the bay and have been told and also checked and its still in warranty. Problem is i have unlocked and jailbroke it.
1 - Even though the warranty is valid, the phone is not in my name, would Apple repair it?
2 - Can they tell, even if i restore it to factory settings, if it has been unlocked etc?

Thanks

im thinking they will give you a new one they dont fix as a rule

yep, they will give you a new one, they do not repair iphones for customers when the phone is still in warranty, unless its accidental damage and you are paying for it.
