Help with John Lewis price match

Found 3rd Dec 2007
Hi.
I'm thinking about buying a new HDTV - the Sony KDL32D3000 to be exact.
John Lewis have it for £899, and Amazon gave it for £639. I understand John Lewis price match. How does this work? Will they match online retailers? The main reason I want to buy from JL is their free 5 year guarantee!
Cheers folks.

Hi
I asked in Kingston Branch how the Price match works and the reply was:
1) they do not pricematch on Online prices (includeing JL online price)
2) Only price match on items in High street shops that are in stock..

Also tried calling their online people about pricematch and was told they do not do price matching..

This was what I got out of the sales assistant(s).

Thanks..

Roy

HI Just looking at Currys web site and found this on WEB EXCLUSIVE Price:
Web Exclusive £584.99
Instore Price £699.99

currys.co.uk/mar…id=

Not with 5 Year warrenty like Jon Lewis!!

Thanks.

They will only match a high street store and not any websites unfortunatly as i tried the other week.

I ended up getting my 37" LCD from Richer Sounds as they will price match any store including websites and got a 5 year warrenty with the TV
