All trains from Fleet appear to go into Waterloo. That's actually the nearest mainline station to the Aldwych theatre, so you should be fine!

Have a look at this map aldwychtheatre.com/map…tml - you can see Waterloo right down at the bottom. Head over Waterloo Bridge, down onto the Strand, and you're not far off!

Hope this helps!

yummymummy, here you go

not sure what times you want, but i'll explain about that a bit further down:

South West Trains (SWT) services leave fleet at 10 & 40 past each hour during the day, with another fast service at 53 past the hour. These all arrive at London Waterloo station.

From waterloo, you need to get to either Holborn or chancery lane tube stations, with Holborn being the best in this case

The northern line tube runs direct from waterloo straight to Holborn, with an average journey time of about 10 minutes

From there it should be a short walk

Hope This Helps

Not too sure, but if you arrive in london before the peak, a cheap day single should be about £10, and the tube prices have gone up recently, so expect to pay around (i think) £2.50 -£3.00

hahahahahahaha I don't know if you're messing with her or not... Aldwych is at the end of fleet street so if it's not the very nearest station it's no more than 5 minutes walk

Fleet street doesn't have it's own tube, nor does aldwych

If you want to yummymummy, you could also catch a circle or district line tube to temple and walk from there, which is probably closer than Holborn by a bit

ok nice one emasu

she said she was arriving at fleet street... Aldwych is just the other end of the road. Assuming I misunderstood then Temple or Covent Garden are the closest tube stops

Half the time I reccomend people to walk in london, especially in the city itself because the underground map is deceptive for distances.

It would take you almost as long faffing about with tubes as it would to walk from Waterloo to the theatre, seriously!

even worse, I just looked up fleet - it's right next to aldershot where my gran used to live!!

Rain tends to slow people down if they're made of paper or cardboard, but otherwise...:?

Waterloo to Aldwych theatre is a walk across the bridge and straight ahead. Aldwych is a big semi-circular road.
It's a pleasant walk if it's nice, past the festival hall, views down the thames etc but it's very overcast today.
Do not muck about with tubes and buses if you don't want to walk, get a black cab outside the station. Minimum fare on the tubes is £4 each, a cab will be much cheaper and most of all, easier for you.

if you need any more info of this variety, go to www.tfl.gov.uk and there's a journey planner on the website.

this is the "transport for london" website.
