Help with my ebay listing

Dont know if this is the rite place to ask but im going to list textbooks on ebay. Does anyone know how much postage should be. Each book is approx 500pages

Would it be better to make it a buy it now or an action (99p start?) ?

Thanks

Eileen

i would weigh each book seperatly and then work out postage costs at royalmail.com. It depends if you just happy to get rid of the books wether you start them at 99p, maybe do a little research and find out what pices other people have got on ebay

Education books you prob need to charge around £3 for, some can be quite heavy and may even weigh up like £5 to send depending how thick. I don't really sell books but they do sell on there, also try Amazon,it all depends on what people are wanting,if they fairly uptodate etc.

I sold a book of about your size recently and it cost £5 to post second class
Because of the postage costs it is difficult to sell books at all unless they are something special
If you have a number of books to sell it may be better to offer them all as one item and the postage cost for the lot can be no more than about £6 if you buy one of the cheap "parcel delivery" items off ebay

offer free local pick up and they can collect from free...

I would never pay £5 postage for a book are you mad.

People do and some educational books etc they like £40 or so,so if someone can pay a few quid plus a fiver for it saves them a lot in long run if they do this for all the books they need.

Why not put an ad on the noticeboard of the place that runs the course - or alternately list them on adtrader which is free?

Yes some medical books my lady wanted was a lot cheaper on ebay so the postage doesnt really matter as much.
