dont go thinking the worse

simple things first

check the plug

check fuse box

fingers crossed for you

Maybe you've pressed the rinse-hold button by mistake

If it's still full of water it could be Rinse Hold button been pushed or something like a coin, hairpin, sock etc stuck in the filter and the machine cannot pump out. Ours has a hose from the pump to manually drain the machine, then open the filter and check whats causing the blockage.

Might be the heating element ours used to do that till it was replaced...does the washing machine feel hot also what machine is it?

could be the heater not working

+1 sounds like it...

Or perhaps its not draining properly for some reason? Check the drain isnt blocked with a kiddies sock or summin xxxxx

My old one did this, check filter, and also drainage pipe at back, mine wouldn't work unless it was practically vertical for some reason
