    Help with Oyster card

I'm off to London tomorrow and have 3 more day trips organised before Christmas so I'm wondering about getting an oyster card. Don't know anything about them except they provide cheaper travel. I'll arrive at Kings cross - can I get one from there? What do I need with me etc etc Any advice will be most welcome

you can buy oyster cards from virtually any oyster card shop i.e a newsagents specially around that area i would assume they all sell them...

its basically about £3 for the card and you top it up as much or as little as you like, it caps automatically at travelcard prices (cheaper than paper cards) so no need to worry about getting a travel card or working out if it would be cheaper e.t.c what trips are you planning?

peak times also (most expensive time to travel) is between 6am- half 9 and 4-7pm (IIRC) check tfl's website for more details, it can also help you plan your routes.

You will need to pay a £3 refundable deposit is payable on new Oyster cards.

Buy from a local shop oyster.tfl.gov.uk/oys….do
